Moscow Travel Brochure

This travel brochure is part of the Moscow travel campaign that targets 25-30 year olds who desire to have a true adventure rather than a tourism-driven vacation.

It caters to these interests by highlighting such lodging options as couch surfing and staying with host families, and advocates cultural experiences like shopping at local markets.

Please visit the Identity section for the rest of the Moscow campaign.

Designer Brochure

The brochure created for my designer identity package about Neville Brody continues with the motif of the music industry. It is patterned after a record album, complete with a sleeve and vinyl record.

I used Insignia, one of Brody’s fonts for the headline text and designed the layout similarly to samples of Brody’s magazine design. The front cover uses his font, Blur, and a layering style common throughout his work. This matched the image that I chose for the back cover.

Please visit the Packaging section for the accompanying packaging set.

Music Advocacy Poster

This cultural awareness poster for music advocacy was to be primarily image-based. I wanted to depict a shocking image to make people think twice about the importance to which they are equating music when they consider programs a waste of resources. Music is not waste nor ever wasted.

Bottom Copy:
Research proves music not only makes kids smarter, but also helps them develop valuable life skills and self-confidence. Don't let music programs be eliminated in America's schools. For more information visit www.musicadvocacy.org.

An Ideal Husband Poster

This poster for Oscar Wilde’s An Ideal Husband depicts a happy wedding cake topper of an “ideal” marriage, but there is something devious in the eye of the husband.

In the play, the wife thinks her husband is a perfect man, but after finding out he was involved in a corrupt business deal she is completely distraught to find out he is not the ideal husband she always thought he was.

The illustration is original.

De Stijl Canon Ad

This magazine ad for Canon Powershot highlights the camera’s slim construction and is designed in the style of the De Stijl period of design.

Quartet Recital Poster

I created this poster to advertise my string quartet's recital in the Spring of 2009.

Believe it or not, it is strongly conceptual. The four birds are sitting in "quartet formation" on the wires which symbolize the four strings of a violin, viola, and cello. Also, the first piece we studied as a group was Haydn's "Lark" quartet.
